Veterans’ memorial inscriptions due Oct. 1 The deadline for Millstone Township residents to have their names inscribed on the wall/bench at the veterans’ memorial is Oct. 1. The names will be inscribed for the Nov. 11 Veterans Day ceremonies. Any veteran of the U.S. military forces who is a resident or has ever resided in Millstone is eligible to have his or her name engraved on the Millstone Township Veterans’ Memorial wall/bench. There is no charge. Anyone who knows of a veteran whose name should be on the memorial should complete a form, which is available at the Millstone Municipal Building, or by calling (609) 259-9673 or (732) 446-2884. The completed forms may be mailed or delivered to: Veterans’ Memorial Council, Millstone Municipal Building, 215 Millstone Road, P.O. Box 240, Perrineville 08535. The final sale of pavers will also end on Oct. 1. Anyone interested in purchasing a paver can obtain forms at the Municipal building or by calling one of the above numbers. Pavers can have up to four lines of 16 spaces each. Newcomers Night open to all Millstone women The Millstone Township Women’s Organization will host its annual Newcomers Night at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the home of Barbara Rubin. The organization was founded in 1982 and is open to Millstone women of all ages. Primarily a social group, it maintains a strong focus on community service, according to a press release. The women meet at the Clarksburg Community Center from September through June at 8 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month. All women who reside in Millstone are invited to attend.
