Several Monmouth County 4-H’ers received Pomona Grange awards for their achievements.

The Pomona Grange Certificate of Merit is given to 4-H’ers who have completed at least two years of outstanding 4-H work and have shown progressive achievement in citizenship.

The Pomona Grange Advanced Awards are granted to 4-H’ers who have demonstrated continued growth in leadership and citizenship activities and have broadened their educational, social and cultural horizons.

Jake Krzyzanowski and Jessica Herring of Freehold received special recognition as Pomona Grange Advanced Award designees. Each had been Pomona Grange Certificate of Merit recipients earlier in their careers..

The following 4-H’ers received the Pomona Grange Certificate of Merit: Robbie Bruins, Cream Ridge; Michelle Welsh, Hamilton; Vita Duva, Colts Neck; Nikki Lacey, Hamilton Square; Curt McKittrick, Colts Neck; Lexie Mariolis, Holmdel; Heather Ellis, Jackson; Mary Emily McLoughlin, Port Monmouth; John Falconio, Allentown; Stephanie Miele, Freehold; Justin Rosser, Allentown; Lindsey Most, Forked River; Susan Gravatt, Brick; Allison Stankovitz, Howell; Ken Hamer, Jackson; Bobby Uzzolino, Howell; Laura Klockner, Hamilton; and Beth Tollar, Millstone.

Anne Willuweit of the Pomona Grange and Ellen Williams, 4-H agent, were this year’s awards co-chairs.

The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension. Educational programs are offered to all youngsters in grades K-13 on an age-appropriate basis. For additional information, contact the Monmouth County 4-H office at (732) 431-7263 or visit the Web site www.nj4h.rutgers.edu.
