Millstone school district seeks residents’ ideas

The Millstone Township School District is inviting residents to help them plan for the future.

Guided by Francine Case, planning facilitator from the New Jersey School Boards Association, the objective is for neighbors, friends, teachers and administrators to work together to develop the goals needed to help the district meet the challenges of the 21st century.

"We must continue to improve student performance in order to meet and surpass state standards," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. William Setaro. "We must also provide space for our growing enrollment as well as provide facilities that are appropriate for the programs today and in the future. To this end, we need the community’s help."

The community kick-off event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Millstone Township Elementary School cafetorium. The meeting will include an overview of the planning process and give the community an opportunity to provide input on the future direction of the district.

There will also be a two-day workshop scheduled for Jan. 11-12, to develop the district’s strategic plan.
