U.F. Community Day set for Sept. 18

Upper Freehold Township will hold its second annual Community Day Sept. 18 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Byron Johnson Recreation Area.

The event will feature oldies music provided by DJ Ultrax; games, sack races, a tug of war, and a candy crawl; stilt walker, juggler, clown and balloonist; a petting zoo, pony rides and hayrides; eight inflatable rides; a food court; Boomer from the Trenton Thunder (2-3 p.m.); the Allentown Jazz Band and a children’s magic show (both 3-4 p.m.); free fingerprinting and photo identification cards provided by the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office; and the Mahoney Brothers Band (6-8 p.m.). The event will conclude with a fireworks display. All events are free and open to the public. The rain date is Sept. 19. Additional parking will be available at Allentown High School.
