Members of New Garments Always grateful for contributions

Members of the Allentown, Upper Freehold and Washington Township Branch of NGA, or New Garments Always Inc., (formerly The Needlework Guild) would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of their recent “In-Gathering” and luncheon.

Area residents collected 1,601 articles of new clothing and toiletries and distributed them to Womanspace, Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, Anchor House, The Children’s Home Society, New Lisbon Developmental Center, and the Mount Carmel Guild.

The success of this year’s event was due in particular to help from the eighth-grade CCD [Confraternity of Christian Doctrine] class of St. John’s Catholic Church, Allentown; girls and leaders from Girl Scout troops 662, 1123, 431, 1146 and 607; and the children’s choir from St. John’s Church, who provided the entertainment.
