Obituaries Martha M. Borowsky Bedle Mrs. Bedle, 73, of Whiting, died May 15 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in the Browntown section of Old Bridge, she had been a resident of Browntown and the Morganville section of Marlboro before moving to Whiting 12 years ago. Before her retirement in 1995, Mrs. Bedle worked in the accounting department of Summit Bank, Hazlet. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Borowsky. Surviving are her husband, David H. Bedle; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jackie Bedle of Morganville; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Don Zierold of Ohio; two sisters, Kathryn Tomasello of Whiting and Minnie Holmes of Aberdeen; four brothers, Anthony and Frank Borowsky, both of Morganville, Ernest Borowsky of the Wickatunk section of Marlboro, and Ted Borowsky of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702; or the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1034 Salem Road, Union 07083.
Gloria M. Yaskin Mrs. Yaskin, 78, of Matawan, died May 16. She was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Marlboro for 14 years before moving to Matawan two years ago. Before her retirement in 1990, Mrs. Yaskin worked for New Jersey Transit as a coach cleaner for 20 years. She was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, Englishtown. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Groeling; her second husband, John Yaskin; a sister, Marian Snyder; two nephews; and a great-niece. Mrs. Yaskin is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Dee and Dave Martin of Umatilla, Fla., Dorothy and Dave Thompson of Newville, Pa., Susanne and Chuck Kuebaugh of Harrisburg, Pa., and Donna and Richie Schlenger of Paisley, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Deb Groeling of Radcliff, Ky., and David and Louise Groeling of Goderich, Canada; a sister, Alexandra Bowden of Old Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Ann Danskin of Tampa, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Robert Snyder of Marlboro; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. A funeral service was held at Crossroads Assembly of God Church, followed by interment at Forest Green Memorial Park, Marlboro. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
Judith Ann (Leek) Procopio Mrs. Procopio, 63, of Manalapan, died May 18 at home after a 15-month battle with cancer. She grew up in southern New Jersey and lived in Maplewood for several years before moving to Manalapan in 1978. Mrs. Procopio was a teacher, beginning at West Orange High School and later at Hillel Yeshiva in Ocean, the Freehold Regional High School District, and St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel. She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, Anthony; a daughter and son-in-law, Laurie P. and Gary Floyd of Howell; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Maureen Procopio of Eugene, Ore.; her father, Robert Leek of Little Egg Harbor; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James Leek of Manahawkin, and Dennis and Marianne Leek of Marlton; two grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. Arrangements were under the direction of M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Township.
