CentraState Healthcare System, Freehold Township, announced that seven of its programs are listed in the New Jersey Hospital Association directory of 160 of the top community outreach programs.

The directory, "Beyond Hospital Walls: Highlights of N.J. Hospitals' Community Outreach Programs, 2000-2005," is published by the Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey, a nonprofit affiliate of NJHA.

The Health Awareness Center serves more than 30,000 adults annually with 200 fitness classes, health education and screening services. The center is located on Gibson Place and operates a satellite office at Freehold Raceway Mall, both in Freehold Township. The Health Awareness Center's Mobile Wellness Van reaches more than 4,000 people each year. CentraState, Lions Clubs International and the CentraState Healthcare Foundation purchased a new $70,000 van in 2003.

REAP (reach, empower, assessment, prevention) addresses health concerns of minorities, seniors and low-income residents through a variety of free services at off-site venues and community events.

The violence prevention program helps young people deal with anger management, conflict resolution, bullying, stress and violence.

The Share and Support Project is a Web-based disease-management model for patients with congestive heart failure and diabetes to learn to take personal responsibility for self-care and preventive measures after they are discharged from the hospital. The project is a joint effort of CentraState, the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey and the Monmouth County Office on Aging.

The Multiple Sclerosis Center offers an array of clinical, educational and support services to improve the quality of life for patients with MS, and their families.

SeniorsFirst assists those age 60 and older to adopt healthy lifestyles through education and preventive care initiatives, including health screenings and information, lectures, referral resources and socialization. The program has more than 12,000 members.

Andrew Harris of Colts Neck will receive the Distinguished Insurance Service award from the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc., to be presented at the association's annual conference in Atlantic City June 11-13.

The award recognizes an individual who has established a history of service, dedicated leadership and attention to the concerns of independent agents and their clients. Harris is president of Liberty Insurance Associates, Millstone; Liberty Consulting Co., a risk management consulting firm; and Liberty Life Associates, which specializes in life, health and other financial instruments. He is also president of Proformance Insurance Co., Freehold Township.

Harris is a member of the association's Availability Task Force and the Broker Compensation Task Force. He is also a member of the Legisla-tive/Regulatory and Technical/Company committees as well as the Central Advisory Council. Harris was awarded PIANJ's Professional Agent of the Year award in 1996 and received a joint resolution from the New Jersey Senate and Assembly recognizing his achievement.

On the state level, Harris is a member of the Department of Banking and Insurance Study Commission and the New Jersey Insurance Commission's Insurance Education Advisory Committee as well as the commission's Producers Advisory Council. He also served on the board of governors of the Windstorm Marketing Assistance Plan.

Larry Weinbaum of Manalapan, a personal financial professional, has qualified for membership in Allstate New Jersey Insurance Co.'s 2006 Million Dollar Round Table. Weinbaum works with Stormie Polhemus of Toms River, an exclusive agent with Allstate New Jersey. Weinbaum's office is in Manalapan. The Million Dollar Round Table is an international independent association of more than 28,000 life insurance and financial services professionals.
