Family Day at Riding High Farm June 11

ALLENTOWN - All are invited to spend the day with family and friends this Sunday at Riding High Farm.

Riding High Farm, located on Route 526 in Allentown, has scheduled its 19th annual Family and Friends Day from noon to 4 p.m. on June 11, according to Riding High spokesperson Regina King.

"Bring your family and friends for a day of great summer fun," King said, "and an upfront and personal view of the wonderful, therapeutic riding programs that benefit the special population riders in our area."

The farm has served special-needs children and adults in the community for more than 25 years, according to King. The facility provides adaptive recreational and therapeutic horseback riding.

"Our program encourages our special riders to overcome their physical and cognitive challenges and recognize their potential through horseback riding," King said.

All proceeds from Family Day will help Riding High Farm provide year-round services to its program participants through Allentown's Handicapped High Riders Club, a nonprofit organization, according to King.

During the event, she said, participants will be able to enjoy a country barbecue, pony rides, face painting, games, music, a moon bounce, raffles and more.

Family and Friends Day will take place rain or shine. Call (609) 259-3884.
