Rutgers seeks volunteers for mood change study

Are you age 60 or over? Are you often called a "worrier" by friends and family? Have you noticed an increase in anxiety and tension in the past few months? If so, you might be interested in the Rutgers Mood Management Class, offered as part of a research study. The program teaches participants how to make slight changes to thoughts and behaviors, which results in better control over moods and less negative emotion in daily life. Eligible participants receive eight individual sessions free of charge, and will also be paid up to $100 for participating. The study does not involve drugs or medications. The research team seeks adults who are right-handed and able to complete an MRI scan (this is not dangerous and there are no side effects). Call (732) 445-1413.
