Through the eyes of boro artist

Lynn Sulpy, an Allentown resident and artist, will showcase this painting of the Allentown mill and other Allentown scenes, at the local library this month.
ALLENTOWN - A local artist currently has her oil paintings of Allentown on display at the borough library.

The exhibit of Allentown resident Lynn Sulpy's artwork will be up at the Allentown Public Library until the end of November. This exhibit is part of the borough's ongoing celebration of its 300th anniversary.

Many of Sulpy's works were displayed last year in Princeton at the Arts Council of Princeton in a show titled "In and Around Allentown."

The current exhibit will provide an opportunity for local residents to view the work, which includes area buildings, farms and waterways.

The showcase features a painting called "Election Time," which Sulpy created in 2004 of the porch of the Quilter's Barn. The exhibit will also include her "Doors of Allentown."

For more information about the exhibit, contact the library at (609) 259-7565 or visit www.lynnsulpy.blog-spot.com.
