A free workshop for local business owners will be held at the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8. The workshop, titled "6 Steps to a Better Business," teaches business owners how to create a business that works for them. The workshop will be presented by local business owner Susan Koval. Koval is a certified business coach with Action International. Action International is a franchise company that has been ranked number one in the world in the category of business consulting and coaching services for the third year in a row by Entrepreneur.com's Franchise 500. The free workshop will be held Thursday evening from 6:30-9 p.m., and Friday morning, from 7:30-10 a.m. The workshop will be held at the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce, located at 17 Broad St. in Freehold. The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. delivered 1,000 frozen Marval turkeys to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Neptune, on Nov. 14 for distribution to families in need this holiday season. Each year, Stop & Shop donates over $12 million in product and financial support to individual food banks in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey. In addition to the Turkey Express program, Stop & Shop fights hunger through the Food for Friends campaign, which will raise more than $1 million this year for more than 300 local hunger relief organizations throughout six states, according to a statement from the company.
