Temple to host 'Evening of Fine Art'

Modern and classic art - much of it with a Jewish twist - will be on display at Temple B'nai Shalom's holiday art auction on Dec. 2-3. The temple is at Fern and Old Stage roads in East Brunswick.

More than 250 pieces of art - ranging in price from $50 to $5,000 - will be on display, and at all price ranges. The art is being provided by State of the Art Fundraising Art Auctions Ltd., Cleveland, Tenn.

"The timing is perfect," said Rebecca Brenowitz of Temple B'nai Shalom. "Art makes a wonderful holiday gift."

The Dec. 2 program will begin with a 7 p.m. preview, followed by the 8 p.m. auction. Light refreshments will be served and a martini bar will be available. There is a small entrance fee credited toward one's first purchase.

There will also be an opportunity for "Take A Second Look" - Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Bagels and coffee will be served.

"It is become a Temple B'nai Shalom tradition to host an annual art show," Brenowitz said. "The great part about this event is that everyone has a perspective when it comes to art. Whether you like modern or classic art or Judaica, there will be something here for you."

Further information is available by contacting Temple B'nai Shalom at (732) 251-4300, (732) 690-1005 or by visiting the temple's Web site www.bnaishalom.com.
