Dentist helps tots learn to keep tooth decay at bay

A group of preschoolers recently enjoyed a visit from Dentist Robert Griggs, of Old Bridge Dental, at Frogbridge's Tadpole Village Preschool, Millstone.
MILLSTONE - Learning at Frogbridge's Tadpole Village Preschool involves more than just ABCs and 123s.

Dr. Robert Griggs, of Old Bridge Dental in Old Bridge, recently met with preschoolers ages 2-6 to talk about the importance of taking care of their teeth.

"We explained to these young tadpoles the importance of establishing regular oral hygiene care," Griggs said. "When young children adopt these skills early in life, it has been proven to last a lifetime."

Griggs gave each student a complimentary bag of goodies that included an electric toothbrush, kid-flavored toothpaste, dental rinse and floss, a coloring book and a calendar with stickers for charting completed dental maintenance.

Old Bridge Dental has been providing dental health care for more than 13 years. Griggs co-founded the practice and serves as a board member for the local Forum for Advanced Dental Studies, which provides continuing dental education to other dental professionals in the area.

The staff at Frogbridge believes that preschool should be a time to explore, discover, grow and have fun. Tadpole Village Preschool cultivates and encourages learning for children in small classes that nurtures individual students' social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth, according to a Frogbridge press release.
