Auditions

Allegro!, a choir composed of 32 men and women, has openings for tenors, baritones, and basses. Rehearsals are 7:30-9:30 p.m. weekly at the Presbyterian Church, Manasquan. Details: Wende Deppeler, (732) 528-5945.

First Avenue Playhouse will hold auditions for its May production of the musical-comedy "Nunsensations" March 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. at 123 First Ave., Atlantic Highlands. Needed are two women - one in her 40s to 60s to play Mother Superior, and one in her 20s to play Sister Leo. Auditioners should come prepared to sing and bring their own sheet music in their key. The Brick Community Players will hold auditions for its 16th annual talent show at the Veterans Elementary School (off Van Zile Road), March 12 at 7 p.m. Auditioners must provide their own accompaniment. Details: (732) 840-3515.

The Yardley Players will hold auditions for "The Velveteen Rabbit" March 17 and 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Communications Building (CM) at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. The CM building is located directly behind Kelsey Theatre. Room number for auditions will be posted. Those auditioning must prepare a song from the following list: "Do, Re, Me," "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," or "Edelweiss." All roles are available. Writer/producers Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore will hold auditions for their new adult comedy, "You've Got Hate Mail," March 29 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center, Lincroft.
