Presentation is starting point for college search

"Get Into College Without Freaking Out" is the title of Arlene Matthews' book and the topic of a presentation she gives to high school juniors and sophomores and their parents. Her talk comes to Millstone just in time for the summer college exploration season. Matthews is an author of books on parenting, psychology, and stress management, an experienced counselor and teacher, and a former SAT instructor for a national test prep service. Her book has been praised by the Washington Post as the book that comes to the rescue of parents and kids experiencing college admissions anxiety. Matthews was one of three experts selected to participate in a New York Times forum on college admissions, and she has appeared on Oprah Winfrey's TV show. Her presentation will take place on Friday, April 20, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Millstone Township Elementary School cafeteria. The cost is $12 per family. For information, contact Barbara Schulze, Community Education, (732) 446-6082 or www.schulzb@millstone.k12.nj.us. Pre-registration required.
