Gladys Falkowitz

Mrs. Falkowitz, 90, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died April 17, 2007, at Beth Israel Medical Center, Brooklyn. Born in Brooklyn, she had lived there her entire life. She was a homemaker and an avid mah-jongg player. Mrs. Falkowitz was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1995. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Maureen Falkowitz of Marlboro, and Terry and Sharyn Falkowitz of Allentown; and three grandsons, Jeff Falkowitz, Howard Falkowitz, and Gary and Johanna Falkowitz. A graveside funeral service was held at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Shiva was observed at both sons' homes. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy C. (Cottrell) Patton

Mrs. Patton, 95, of Englishtown, died March 31, 2007, at CareOne at Holmdel. Born in Keyport, she had resided in Millstone and Matawan for 41 years. She was co-owner of Ceronics Inc., Matawan, for 30 years, where she worked as a bookkeeper and a secretary. Mrs. Patton was a communicant of Millstone United Presbyterian Church. She crocheted baby blankets for Project Linus in connection with the church and was also a former member of the Millstone Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Patton, in 1990. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jeanne Patton of Englishtown; a brother, Ernest Cottrell of Whiting; and two grandsons. A funeral service was held at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
