Junior Golf America (JGA) will hold a College Showcase tournament on July 2-3 at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan. The showcase tournaments provide a detailed profile of the participating junior golfers to college recruiters. Their profile is posted prominently on the JGA's Web site. A college golf coach will be conducting a seminar for the golfers and their parents.

The JGA is conducting six College Showcase tournaments this year. The next stop is in Ambler, Pa., at the Tallamore Country Club July 30-31.

A local 9U baseball team is looking for new players to round out the team and will be holding tryouts. The team is located in the Manalapan area, but residency is not required. Any player born after May 1, 1997, is eligible. Interested players who desire to play competitive baseball should call Burke Zinco at (732) 792-2642 for additional information.

The Seventh Annual Be the Best Youth Football Camp for players ages 7-15 will be held from July 16-20 (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) in Old Bridge.
