Allentown Lions to host free family movie night
Lions will be on the loose in Byron Johnson Park. Actually, the lion, giraffe, hippo and zebra from the DreamWorks movie "Madagascar" will make their local debut on the big screen as the Allentown Lions host a free family movie night in the park on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 8 p.m. The movie night is another example of the club's service to the Allentown/Upper Freehold community. The club is active in vision care, services to the blind and dyslexic, as well as sponsorships of the annual Memorial Day parade and Easter egg hunt. All community members are invited to come out for the movie with a blanket or lawn chair. Pretzels, popcorn and drinks will be offered at modest costs to help defray the costs of the event. Details of the club can be found on its Web site at www.Allentownlions.com. For information on joining the Allentown Lions, call Keith Becker at (609) 213-2068.
