Motorcycles displayed at annual show
On Aug. 15, the Upper Freehold/Allentown Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse held its annual motorcycle show at Byron Johnson Recreation Area. The event was well attended with more than 90 motorcycles on display. This was our largest motorcycle show to date. Whether it was stopping by to have a snack at the concession stand, buying a raffle ticket, or just walking around enjoying motorcycles from the forties to the latest high-tech choppers (and one moped), we appreciate your support. While this was truly a team effort, a special thank you to our alliance coordinator, Jason Victor, and alliance fundraising chairperson, Sherri Wright, for their tireless work in obtaining the sponsors, door prizes, etc. I would also like to thank the participants, Rat Chop Garage for the trophies and judging, Liquid Island for the live entertainment, POP Warner football for the concession stand donation, the vendors, and Allentown police for cruising by throughout the night. These events provide us the funds to help educate our children on the issues of alcoholism and drug abuse. Support like this from the community directly affects our children's programs. If you have any questions, or would like to join the alliance, please contact Jason Victor at (609) 758-7738 ext. 230.
