Open Warriors tryouts Sept. 15 and Sept. 22 The Millstone Warriors Basketball Association is holding tryouts Sept. 15 and Sept. 22 for all of its girls and boys teams. Interested players from the Millstone, Allentown, Roosevelt and Upper Freehold areas need to attend at least one of the tryouts at the new Millstone Township Middle School, 5 Dawson Court. Tryouts for Girls 12 and Boys 13 begin at 9 a.m.; Girls 9 and Girls 10 begin at 10:15 a.m.; Boys 9 and 10 and Girls 13 begin at 11:30 a.m.; Boys 8 and Girls 11 begin at 12:45 p.m.; Boys 11 begin at 1 p.m. and Boys 11 begin at 2-3 p.m. The Warriors participate in the Mid- Monmouth (ages 11-13) and Monmouth Youth (ages 8-10) leagues. The season consists of 10-12 games and playoffs, for qualifying teams. Additionally, all 12 teams might have the opportunity to play in at least one tournament. Mid-Monmouth season runs from mid-October through December. Monmouth Youth season runs from December to February.
