Marylou Emmons

Mrs. Emmons, 67, of Farmingdale, died Aug. 29, 2007, at Meridian Health's Manor by the Sea at Ocean Grove. She valiantly fought cancer for 20 years. Born in Allentown, she settled in Farmingdale in the 1960s and received a degree from Trenton State Teachers College. Mrs. Emmons was the manager at Timm's Variety Store, Manasquan, and had previously been an elementary school physical education teacher for the Howell Township Board of Education. She was also a volunteer at the Howell Township Library. Surviving are her husband, Robert H. Emmons of Brick; two sisters, Virginia Lemaster of Mary Esther, Fla., and Kathleen Laird of Wrightstown, Burlington County; and two nieces and three nephews. A memorial gathering was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to Friends of the Howell Library, 318 Old Tavern Road, Howell, NJ 07731.
