Exceptional women sought for special honor

Nominations are being sought for the third annual Exceptional Women Program. Anyone who knows of a woman in Monmouth or Ocean counties who he or she thinks is exceptional may nominate her for this honor. She may have battled a disease, or she's juggling kids and a job. She may selflessly help others or always pitches in without any thought or reward, or she may have done anything else that others would consider to be exceptional.

The Exceptional Women Program is sponsored by Southern Ocean County Hospital (SOCH), Preferred Health Mate, Seaside Furniture and the Shore's 100.1 WJRZ.

Spyder McGuire and Anita Bonita on WJRZ's "Jersey Morning Show" will announce the names and contributions of two special women every Friday until Nov. 9. The featured candidates will receive a gift and four tickets to attend the Exceptional Women's dinner Nov. 14 at the Quality Inn, Toms River. Nominations may be faxed to (609) 597- 4400 or mailed to WJRZ Exceptional Women, P.O. Box 1000, Manahawkin 08050.

WJRZ-FM is a radio station of Greater Media Inc. Greater Media Inc. is the parent company of 20 AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets.
