Garden club speaker to discuss native plants

Jane Nogaki, a pesticide program coordinator for the New Jersey Environmental Federation and longtime environmental activist, will discuss the importance of native plants in the home garden at the Oct. 11 meeting of the Allentown Garden Club. Using native plants saves money and reduces work and water usage while providing benefits for wildlife and humans. The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the Allentown Methodist Church on Church Street, Allentown. Call (609) 581-0462 or visit www.allentowngardenclub.org.
