Historical society slates meeting at Black Forest

The Allentown-Upper Freehold Historical Society will meet the second Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Black Forest Restaurant, located in the mill on Main Street in Allentown. On Oct. 11, Ramona Truncer will present a book review of "The Diary of Sarah Tabitha Reid, 1868- 1873." Reid was a resident of Englishtown at the time she wrote her diary.
