Bernard Lagat's bid for a sixth Wanamaker Mile will be one of the highlights of the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 1. This is the 101st running of the games in NewYork City.As the games begin a new century, an old duel will be renewed. Australia's Craig Mottram pushed Lagat all the way to the finish line in last year's race, and he returns to try to beat Lagat, the world champion at 1,500 and 5,000 meters last summer.

Mottram, who won a bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships, is also one of the top runners in the world, like Lagat.

If Lagat captures his sixth Wanamaker, he will be one win shy of the record seven won by the legendary "Chairman of Boards," Eamonn Coghlan.

The 101st Millrose Games are the third stop on the USA Track and Field Visa Championship Series.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster or at the Madison Square Garden box office. For additional information, visit www.Millrose-Games.com.
