Spring seedling sale will benefit Monmouth's 4-H

The Monmouth County 4-H Teen Council will continue its 40-year-old tradition of offering a variety of evergreen and deciduous seedlings during its annual spring seedling sale. All seedlings are 1-3 years old and are approximately six to 24 inches tall. Evergreen seedlings come in bundles of 25 and cost $15. Colorado blue spruce, Norway spruce, Douglas fir, and white pines are available. Deciduous seedlings come in bundles of 10 and cost $10. Kousa dogwood trees, silky dogwood shrubs, and common lilacs are available. Seedlings can only be purchased through advance orders, which will be taken through April 4. Seedlings will be ready for pickup from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 at the rear of the Agricultural Building, 4000 Kozloski Road, Freehold.
