Dorothy Ficken Mrs. Ficken, 76, died March 7, 2008, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Long Island and Leatherhead, England, before settling in the Clarksburg section ofMillstone. Two brothers, Robert and Frank Leppanen; and a sister, Ellen Thorvund, predeceased her. She is survived by her husband, Donald F. Ficken; a son, Donald J. Ficken of Del Mar, Calif.; three daughters, Patricia Taylor, Tarpon Springs, Fla., Barbara LaSalle, San Diego, Calif., and Lynn Lenoci, Howell; two sisters, Ruth Evelyn Way, Citrus Springs, Fla. and Mildred McCarthy, Hicksville, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
