Madelyn "Miss Maggie" Palmer Gilbert

Mrs. Gilbert, 62, ofMillstone Township, died April 5, 2008, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was an administrative assistant for the Township of Millstone for 13 years prior to retiring in December. She was predeceased by hermother,Anna BahmPalmer, in 1998 and her father, Charles Palmer, in 1958; four brothers, Frank Palmer in 1994, Charles Palmer and Norman H. Palmer in 1996, and William F. Palmer in 2004; and a sister, Mary Summer, in 2003. Surviving are her husband, George Gilbert; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and David Swift, Haines, Ala., and Debby and Lee Preiss, Corpus Cristi, Texas; a stepdaughter, Reesa Moore, Portsmouth, Va.; a brother, Richard J. Palmer, Millstone; two sisters, Emma F. Palmer,Millstone, and Elizabeth McCab and her husband Edmund, Jackson; a brother-in-law, Mel Summer Sr., and two sisters in-law, Lorraine and Theresa Palmer; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian Church, Millstone, followed by interment at the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the United Presbyterian Church ofMillstone, P.O. Box 202, Millstone Township, NJ 08525. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, handled the arrangements.
