Tractor supply business coming to Cox's Corner

UPPER FREEHOLD - Tractor Supply Co. has plans to open a store in the township.

Cox's Corner Professional Center, which is located directly off I-195 at Exit 11, has signed a contract with The Keith Corp., of Charlotte, N.C., the real estate developer for Tractor Supply Co.

Founded in 1938, Tractor Supply Co. operates 790 stores in 43 states and employs 12,000 workers. The stores sell lawn- and animal-care products as well as equipment and clothing.

"We are excited about Tractor Supply's selection of Cox's Corner for their first store in Monmouth County," Doug Walsh, a partner in the Cox Group, said. "We strive to focus on business applications that will benefit both our business leaders and our community needs."

The Tractor Supply Co. store will help support agriculture in the area, which is a benchmark Upper Freehold's Township Committee and Economic Development Committee have set for new businesses in town.

Cox's Corner is already home to a KiddieAcademy and has two other sites in developmental stages.

There are eight remaining approved/ improved sites with three new sites in the planning stages.
