Golf tourney scheduled to help standardbreds

The Standardbred Retirement Foundation (SRF) will host its annual charity golf tournament on May 12 at the Knob Hill Country Club in Manalapan.

All proceeds benefit the SRF, which finds homes for non-competitive standardbreds and ensures their lifelong care. SRF also helps at-risk children through its Youth in Focus Program and helps teach incarcerated teenagers life and vocational skills.

The cost per player is $195 before May 8 and $225 per player after May 8. The price includes greens fees, cart rental, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner.

SRF is also seeking tourney sponsors and gift items such as sporting event and travel tickets, collectibles and novelty items for a charity auction and raffle.

To sponsor, play or make a donation, contact Gen Sullivan at (609) 324-1500 or at gen@srfmail.com. For more information, visit SRF at www.Adoptahorse.org.
