The article "Farewell to a Main Street mainstay" in the May 8 Examiner stated, "The [McLaughlin] family invited the local Shade Tree Commission to come to count the rings in the tree's trunk, which had a 21-foot diameter. However, the commission didn't send a representative on the fateful day." For clarification, the article was referring to the Monmouth County Shade Tree Commission and not the Allentown Shade Tree Commission.

A photograph of Allentown Art Guild members that appeared on page 31 of the May 15 Examiner was incorrectly attributed to staff photographer Chris Kelly. Guild members Jeff Martin and Jon Tomson set up and took the photo.
