Community called upon to aid kids with autism
Allentown resident to host fundraiser at business in Howell

ALLENTOWN — A borough resident will host a charity event at his business to help children with autism and other special needs.

Barry Grossman will hold the fundraiser at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at JungleRRRific in Howell. The Moms' Night Out Expo in the 3,000-square-foot children's center with an indoor playground will benefit "Autism Searching for a Better Tomorrow," a foundation in Howell that helps children with autism and other special needs.

Representatives from the foundation will speak at and assist during the event.

Families and friends are invited to attend the night out, which will host more than a dozen vendors, including Arbonne Cosmetics, Jewelry and Handbags by Sharyn of Mooshie, Dove Chocolate Delights, Tastefully Simple Gourmet Foods, Discovery Educational Toys, Shaklee Products for Better Living, Pampered Chef kitchen products, PartyLite Premier Candles and Accessories, CentraState Wellness and Fitness Center, and The Mystery Chef. A massage therapist from the Healing Spirits Massage spa in Jackson will also be available to give chair massages and psychic Rose will give readings.

All of the vendors have donated gift baskets or certificates for a raffle and free samples for guests.

All raffle proceeds will go to the foundation. The raffle will feature various prizes, including a weekend birthday party at JungleRRRific.

Participants will also enjoy coffee, cake, fruit, cheese, and soft drinks contributed by JungleRRRific and attending vendors.

There is no cost to attend the charity event.

Grossman recently took over ownership of JungleRRRific and hopes to make Moms' Night Out a successful event. He said he wants to continue more programs to help other children's charities.
