George A. Sabia

Mr. Sabia, 73, of Freehold Township, died Aug. 23, 2008, at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a machinist for PSE&G, Linden, where he worked for 35 years before his retirement. His wife, Nancy Egan Sabia, died in 1995, and a daughter, Donna Sabia, died in 2005. Surviving are two sons, Shawn Sabia of Margate, Fla., and Todd Sabia of Howell; five stepchildren, Christopher John Kean, Sean Steven Kean, Brian Patrick Kean, Jacklyne Kean Eareckson, and Teresa Kean Abernethy; a sister, Dottie Sciarrillo of Las Vegas; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the Åmerican Cancer Society.
