Join the National Rescue Ride to save horses

aHorse lovers from across the country are stampeding to join the Oct. 19 National Rescue Ride.

Fifty charities from more than 40 states have answered the call to help raise funds and awareness for unwanted, neglected and abused horses in the United States.

Funds raised will help charities providing for abused, neglected and unwanted horses. Individual charities are setting up rides in their areas. Rider/walker registration is already trotting along. Charities, riders and walkers not yet registered can go to www.nationalrescueride. org and sign on as beneficiaries or participants. In addition to receiving a T-shirt, riders/walkers are eligible for prizes for raising the most funds as individuals or in clubs. All funds raised at the event will go directly to the registered organization the walkers/riders have chosen.
