New Jersey should not mandate flu shots for schoolchildren

Thank you so much for your editorial on vaccine choice. You summed up the situation perfectly.

New Jersey has one of the strictest laws in the U.S. concerning vaccines. I have permanent physical and neurological damage from the flu vaccine. My doctor has stated for the record that my problems have been caused by the flu shot. In New Jersey my children would still have to get the flu shot to attend school. Even though my neurologist says they should never have the shot that would not be sufficient for a medical exemption. The reaction would have to have happened to them.

Side effects and reactions can be severe. I was paralyzed, spent 24 days in the hospital, a year of therapy and still three years later I am undergoing a new treatment to try to recover. What you don't know can hurt you.
