Holmdel school to present 'Grease'
The school will present its alumni production of "Grease" on Thursday, Aug. 6, Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 9, at 5 p.m. Doors open half an hour prior to showtime. Tickets are $15 at the door. Seating is general admission and on a first-come basis. The school is located at 540A Line Road in Holmdel. Kristina Marabondo of Millstone (class of '08) will play the role of Sandy Dumbrowski opposite Joseph O'Leary of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown (class of '09) as Danny Zuko. Joining them are Leanne Mercadante of Freehold Township (class of '06) as Rizzo and O'Leary's younger brother, Kevin, as Kenickie (class of 2011). Kevin is one of three current students participating in the show, also including Christian Potterton of Marlboro and Michael Birardi of Old Bridge, both class of 2011. The rest of the cast is rounded out by alumni participants including Diana Caso ('07), Brittany LeFante ('06), Chrissy Isola ('09), Dina Shevchenko ('09), John Lukas ('08), Daniel Murano ('09), Angus Mc- Cann ('09), Rebecca Cammarata ('07), Kimberly O'Leary ('07), Joseph Lombarde ('05), Erin Roche ('05) and Christie Fassold ('06). The show is being directed by Rachel Ryan of Eatontown, who is a member of Vianney's English Department and the school's current theater director. She is joined by her father, Russ Scalzo, of Oceanport and Nick Masi of Little Egg Harbor, who are serving as the show's music directors; Mercadante as assistant director; and Caso, Isola and Kimberly O'Leary, who are all contributing choreographers.
