Freshman football team can't be beat
This year, the team has a new coaching staff — Joe Murphy, Matt Mordas, Victor Veltre and Kevin Mulvey — led by Jay Graber. While players commend Graber for instilling a successful program and a positive work ethic for them to follow both on and off the field, they also attribute their success to Pop Warner programs they played in prior to high school. The team players are Tighe Blazier, Bobby Brown, Pat Clark, Markus Colin, JT Curran, Adam Dorfman, Jaren, Drialo, Mark John Duffy, Jake Failla, Dan Goodstein, Connor Grehlinger, Frankie Juba, Jake Koch, David Koons, Brandon Laday, Jake Lewis, Kevin Makiewicz, Joe Mangrella, Garrett Martin, Josh Masci, Pat McCarthy, Justin Miller, Dylan Meyers, Chi Oriji, Nick Palladino, Zach Peterson, Ernest Pitts, Ryan Raslowsky, Ray Rashawn, Jake Sandford, Drew Schreck, Jordan Shropshire, Kevin Singler, Nick Singler, Kyle Sulit, Matt Wilkins and Norman Williams.
The freshman football team demonstrated this year what seems to be great promise for the future of the varsity football team. With four games left in the season, the team looks forward to more action packed, exciting games ahead. "We'll be cheering them on and hoping to see more wins," Nissinger said. "Hey, you never know. There is a good possibility they could go undefeated for the season. But either way we are extremely proud of this group of dedicated, hardworking young men."
